The Film – Soul Migration tells story of an enigmatic species – the pacific gray whale – and what humans can learn from the past in order to change the course of the future.
In the 1800’s, whalers hunted the gray whale to the brink of extinction, led mostly by Captain Charles Melville Scammon. What happens when a team of students, teachers, and Chris Scammon, direct descendant of the Captain, travel to the very place of the mass slaughter? How will the whales respond?
The Expedition – Follow along as we travel to the lagoons of Baja California to meet with scientists, researchers, historians, and conservationists. Led by Debra and Tom Weistar, directors of Synergia Learning Ventures and Finding the Good Semester Program.
